Dinoland

I took the girls to see Dinoland, an exhibit at the Zilker botanical gardens. Maddie really liked it and Lillian tried her best to sleep the whole time. Here are a few pictures.

Lillian is Growing

It is crazy to think that water can move furniture but leave her china standing in the cabinet with mud all over it.

Family Update

What a weekend! Hopefully this will clear up everyone's questions about my family and I will post new info as i get it.

My parents house in Nederland has minor damage, no electricty, water or sewer. They are thinking it will be about 2 weeks to get these things up and running.

The beach cabin is gone. The cabin should be to the left and behind of the big torquise cabin in this picture.

My brother and sister in law had 5 1/2 foot of water in their house. It looks like her china stayed in the cabinet but everything else is all over the place covered in dirt and grime. They are headed back now and see if anything else can be salvaged. Please pray for them and baby Carson.

My aunt went and checked on my grandparents house today and it is totally ruined. It is a new house that they have only lived in for a month and it is a total loss. Everything is covered in black mud and several of the windows blew out so what wasn't ruined with the rush of mud was exposed to the rain. Please pray for them to manage all this stress.


Overall everyone is safe and should be able to recover but it is really stressful and sad for all of them. Thank you to all who called wishing my family their best and seeing what they could do to help.

My parents are on their way home tonight and I will post pictures as i get them.

First day of School

Maddie was so excited! She wore her backpack around the house last night and walked right up to her door at school. I tried to get a picture with my phone but she didn't even want to turn around and look at me:(

Addison

Maddie was able to play with our friends little girl, Addison this weekend! It was so fun to see them play together.

Beach

Here is Maddie on the waves. Maddie learned all sorts of new things at the beach and Lillian looked on in pure amazement! Next summer I am sure they will both be begging to go to Nana's Beach! I added some pictures of Maddie learning to pillow fight and other fun stuff. She also found a Treasure chest on the beach. My mom told her a story about finding a treasure chest on the beach and the pirate coming to look for it. Maddie remembered every word and was in shock when she came upon a treasure chest on the beach full of treasure (chocolate candy is what she considers treasure I don't argue). When the pirate (Matt) came looking for his treasure she said very loud and clear "Go home pirate!" She has no fear! Click here for pictures of all this!

Crazy Vacation

We had a very eventful vacation! Our goal was to make it to Nederland for a few days to see the family and then head to the Nana's beach. As we left town Lillian screamed all the way to Bastrop! We had to stop at Bevin and Stevens to check on her. So we didn't make it home until 1 am! Poor Matt! Then Maddie was bitten all over by mosquitoes and the bites puffed up and were larger than a quarter. Crazy! Then Matt came down with something and was sicker than I had ever seen him. I checked his temperature and it was 102! I have only seen him sick one other time since we have been married so that was weird. We made it to the beach and Maddie had a blast. While we were there my Dad's aunt passed away and then we had to leave b/c of the Hurricane. I know it sounds crazy but we really did have fun and I will post a few pictures later!
