Maddie has mastered driving her tractor and likes to go FAST!
I took this video with our old digital so it probably isn't high quality but you get the idea.

Speed Demon
Lesson 4: Check under the Bed
So when you cannot find Maddie during her nap and it doesn't appear she was able to escape, check under the bed. She may be there with her trusty Mickey Mouse flashlight and bunny:)

Poopoo in the Potty
I can't believe it but I am happy to report that Maddie pooped in the potty tonight! She was acting like she needed to go after dinner (you moms know the serious face and being really still) and Matt put her on the potty and wouldn't you know she did it! We celebrated with a big blue popsicle and called all the grandparents to brag!
I am a little sad that she is growing up so fast but I am excited for her too.
Lesson 3: Put down a blanket at the gate for nap
So she did sleep in her room today with all her clothes but it was at the gate again! She woke up after so rolled into the door facing but she did sleep in her room! Tomorrow I will put down a blanket and a pillow so if she doesn't make it to the bed she will at least be off the carpet!

Lesson 2: Always put on her Pants to sleep
So after she was quiet for a bit I went upstairs to find her head pushed up against the baby gate and her bare bottom in the air. Yes, she took off her diaper and was laying there with no pants on. I let her sleep for a few minutes and then tried to put her diaper on and she woke up. I guess 20 minutes is better than nothing at all.
So tonight I put her in bed and read books and she cried and jumped up and down at the gate when I left. I went back up to check on her and read her a few books and she put herself to sleep. Hopefully she will sleep all night.
The joys of my little angle growing up!
Lesson 1: Double Check all Gates
Okay so todays nap was the first time in Maddie's big girl bed. Boy is this harder than I thought. I stayed in there for 40 minutes and she was still up so I left her alone in there screaming at the gate. I turned around b/c her crying at the gate stopped and she was downstairs. She had busted out of the gate in her room and I forgot to lock the gate at the top of the stairs. She is back in there playing but not sleeping, this could be an interesting weekend.
Lesson #1 learned, I hope tonight is easier:)
